Simply place the chicken in the slow cooker with the cream cheese and seasoning, and let it cook on low heat for a few hours. The result is tender and juicy chicken that is bursting with creamy and savory flavors.

This dish is perfect for busy weeknights or for feeding a crowd. Serve the crack chicken on top of rice, alongside your favorite vegetables, or even on a sandwich for the ultimate comfort meal.

Ingredients

Ingredients:

  1. boneless skinless chicken breasts
  2. a packet of ranch seasoning mix (or you can use my homemade ranch dressing mix!)
  3. cream cheese
  4. bacon crumbles
  5. shredded cheddar cheese
Ranch Seasoning Over Chicken

Instructions:

Add chicken to the slow cooker and cover it with the ranch seasoning mix. Then add cubes of cream cheese on top of the chicken.

Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 5 1/2 hours without opening the lid during the cooking time (3 hours on HIGH works well in a pinch).

Bacon over slow cooker chicken

Shred the chicken with 2 forks in the base of the slow cooker and mix well into the softened cream cheese. Stir in the bacon bits then some of the shredded cheddar cheese.

Sprinkle the remaining cheese and cover for about 10 minutes before serving to allow for the cheese to melt.

Slow cooker crack chicken can be eaten on its own, on a bun, or enjoyed over rice with green onions or extra bacon crumbles as garnishes! You can even use it as a low-carb appetizer or dip with tortilla chips.

  • 1 ounce packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 16 ounces cream cheese, cubed
  • 1 cup bacon crumbles
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions 

  • Add chicken to the slow cooker after spraying the bottom with non-stick cooking spray. Cover with the ranch seasoning mix, then add cubes of cream cheese on top of the chicken.
  • Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 5 1/2 hours without opening the lid during the cooking time (3 hours on HIGH works well in a pinch).
  • Shred the chicken with 2 forks in the base of the slow cooker and mix well into the softened cream cheese.
  • Stir in the bacon bits then about 1 ½ cups of the shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Top with the remaining cheese and cover for about 10 minutes melt before serving if desired or just mix all cheese in.
