Ingredients:

  1. warm milk
  2. yeast
  3. flour
  4. salt
  5. sugar
  6. egg
  7. butter

Use Pre-Made Bread Dough

In a hurry? Skip the homemade dough by using pre-made refrigerated Pillsbury bread dough instead!

Ingredients

Instructions:

In a small bowl, add the warm milk and a teaspoon of sugar. In a large bowl, add the flour, salt and sugar. Mix using the dough hook of a stand mixer. Add milk and yeast mixture to the flour and start to mix or turn the dough hook on low. Cover the bread dough with plastic wrap or a damp towel and let rise until doubled (one to two hours).

Let the dough rise

Recipe Tip

If you’re using pre-made Pillsbury bread dough, skip this step!

Cut dough

Cut the dough into 12 even pieces. This is most easily done by cutting the whole thing in half and continuing to cut the pieces in half until you have 12 evenly sized dough pieces.

Use homemade dough or premade refrigerator bread dough

Roll out each dough ball into a long rope on an oiled surface to about 10”.  Bring up both ends to form a U.

Bunny Dinner Rolls

Leaving a small circle at the bottom of the U, overlap ends, then twist again leaving ends pinched like bunny ears. Repeat this process 6 times until you have 6 bunny forms.

Bunny Dinner Rolls

Cut the two remaining pieces into 6 smaller pieces and roll them into balls. Add the bunny tails onto the bunny forms. Place all 6 bunnies on a baking sheet.

Bunny Dinner Rolls

Allow the bunnies to rise again for about 20-30 minutes.  Bake rolls for about 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Remove bunnies and brush with butter.

Pre-Made Dough

If you’re using premade dough, skip this step and place the bunny rolls directly into a preheated oven. Bake them until golden brown. To make them a little sweet, brush the warm bunny buns with butter and sprinkle with a pinch of sugar!

  1. Hello! If I want to prep these on Saturday and cook them on Sunday how might I do that? Make the dough, divide it, and put it in the fridge till Sunday? Or make the dough, divide it, make the shapes, and put it in the fridge? or just make the dough? Thanks in advance!
