Tips for Perfect Slow Cooker Spaghetti

Stir halfway through cooking to keep noodles from clumping.

Use a jar of thicker spaghetti sauce if you prefer less watery pasta.

For extra flavor, add Italian seasoning, garlic powder, or a dash of red pepper flakes.

You can substitute the beef with ground turkey or sausage.

This recipe is the perfect weeknight dinner when you need something filling, flavorful, and fuss-free. Toss everything in your slow cooker and let it do the work. No boiling water, no multiple pans, just delicious, cheesy spaghetti that everyone will love.

Crock Pot Spaghetti

Make the best Crock Pot Spaghetti with just 5 ingredients! Tender noodles, hearty meat sauce, and melted cheese
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 5 hours
Total Time: 5 hours 10 minutes
Servings: 6

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef browned and drained
  • 24 oz jar spaghetti sauce (your favorite brand)
  • 3 cups water
  • 12 oz uncooked spaghetti noodles broken in half
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  • Brown the beef. In a skillet, cook the ground beef until fully browned. Drain any excess grease.
  • Add to the Crock Pot. Place the cooked beef into your slow cooker. Pour in the spaghetti sauce and water, and stir to combine.
  • Add the noodles. Break the spaghetti noodles in half and gently stir them into the sauce mixture, making sure they are covered in liquid. (It’s okay if they stick out a little—they’ll soften as they cook!)
  • Cook. Cover and cook on LOW for 2–3 hours, stirring occasionally until the noodles are tender.
  • Add cheese. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the top. Cover and let it melt for about 5 minutes before serving.
