Blooming Burrito Ring

Cheesy quesadillas packed with beans and seasoned chicken with a bowl of salsa make the perfect finger food dish. Flour tortillas are cut in half and rolled into small cones, then stuffed together in a warm cheesy ring. It’s impossible to not love this fun recipe.

A Blooming Burrito Ring is the perfect appetizer for any occasion! A round display of chicken and bean burritos served with a bowl of dip.

Ingredients:

  1. Taco Size Flour Tortillas
  2. Shredded Chicken – or ground beef
  3. Taco Seasoning
  4. Water
  5. Refried Beans
  6. Mexican Shredded Cheese – or shredded cheddar cheese
Ingredients

Supplies:

  • small pot
  • baking sheet
  • pie plate or oven-safe skillet
  • knife
  • cutting board
  • non-stick spray or parchment paper
  • measuring spoons and cups
  • small bowl for dip or salsa
Seasoned Chicken

Directions:

Warm up the refried beans and prepare shredded chicken with taco seasoning. Then, cut the flour tortillas in half. Add beans, chicken, and shredded Mexican blend cheese in the middle of each tortilla half.

Mini burrito cones

Roll the tortilla into a cone shape as seen in this TikTok video. Prepare a pie dish or oven-safe skillet with nonstick spray or parchment paper. Place a small bowl in the center of the baking sheet or skillet as a guide for creating a circle. Put some beans, some chicken mixture, and some cheese in the middle of each tortilla half.

How to make a burrito ring

Arrange the tortilla cones around the bowl, keeping them a bit snug. Sprinkle more shredded cheese over the base of the rolls (the more ooey-gooey melted cheese, the better, in my opinion!)

Repeat the process for the second layer by placing the next set of burrito rolls on top of the first ring of cones. Sprinkle even more cheese on top! Remove the small bowl in the middle and bake for 20 minutes or until the edges of the cones are golden brown.
