The ultimate cheese and sausage dip loaded with cream cheese, Rotel, and melty shredded cheese. This easy appetizer recipe is perfect for game day, parties, and holidays.
Preheat your oven and prepare your baking dish. Preheat oven to 350°F and spray an 8x8 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
Brown the sausage. In a large, heavy-bottomed skillet over medium heat, add the sausage, breaking it up into small pieces with a wooden spoon or spatula until it’s browned on the outside and cooked throughout. This should take about 8-10 minutes. Drain the excess grease from the pan and set the sausage aside.
Prepare the base of the dip. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, shredded cheeses, Rotel, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper, mixing until well combined.
Add the sausage. Fold in the cooked sausage and spread the dip into the prepared 8x8 baking dish.
Bake. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes or until hot, bubbly, and starting to brown on top.
Garnish and serve. Garnish with sliced chives and serve hot with dippers such as tortilla chips, sliced baguettes, or crackers.
