Remove from heat and allow to cool for 4-5 minutes.
Gently press the holiday colored M&M’s into rows on top of the bars.
TIP: After adding the M&M’s on top, run a knife around the edges of the dish to keep the bars from sticking.
Allow the bars to cool fully for 45 minutes to an hour before cutting and serving.
Cut into 16 squares to serve.
Notes:
- Best served warm or at room temperature.
- Store leftover bars in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days.
- Make it simple by only using chocolate chips or use any combination of chocolate chips.
- You must allow the bars to fully cool before cutting. They will be too gooey to cut while hot. They firm up as they cool.
