Lo Mein
Delicious Lo Mein recipe with a flavor that tastes just like takeout! But, it’s much quicker, tastier, and healthier than take-out.

- 1 (8 ounce) package lo mein noodles
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil
- 1 Tablespoon garlic, minced
- ½ cup baby bella mushrooms, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, cut into strip
- 1 large carrot, shredded
- ½ cup snow peas
- 2 cups baby spinach
- 3 Tablespoons reduced sodium soy sauce
- 2½ teaspoons granulated sugar
- 1½ teaspoons sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon sriracha
- teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Cook the noodles. Cook lo mein according to package directions and set aside.
Sauté the veggies. In a skillet, heat the olive oil and garlic over medium heat until fragrant and soft. Then add your mushrooms, red pepper, carrot, snow peas and spinach. Give them a stir and continue to cook until wilted and soft and set aside.
Make the sauce. In a small bowl, whisk soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, ginger, sriracha, and Worcestershire sauce until the sugar is dissolved.
Combine. Add the sauce to the pan and stir before adding the lo mein noodles.
Toss and serve. Add the noodles to the vegetables and toss to coat evenly with sauce. Best served hot.
Can I make this ahead of time and freeze it?
You can make this easy lo mein noodle recipe in advance and freeze it. Make the recipe according to the directions and then remove from the heat and allow to cool on the counter for 1 hour. Transfer to a resealable plastic bag and lay flat in your freezer, Don’t forget to label with the name of the dish, date it was made and that it stays good for 3-4 months.
Can I use Frozen ingredients?
You can use individual frozen ingredients but you'll need to thaw and drain them well before using. Snow peas, carrot, spinach, mushrooms, and peppers are all sold in the frozen section of your grocery store. Another option would be to use an Asian blend of frozen vegetables.
