Servings: 10 Rolls

Total Time 35 minutes mins
- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough sheet
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- ¼ cup bacon bits (fresh or pre-made)
- 8 pieces sliced colby jack cheese, or cheese of choice
- 7 slices turkey, or protein of choice
Preheat the oven to 350°F
Open the crescent roll sheet dough and stretch out or roll out using a rolling pin, to be approximately 9x13 inches, on a piece of parchment paper or floured surface.
Melt the butter with the garlic, salt, and pepper. Brush on the crescent dough using a basting brush in an even layer (or drizzle over evenly with a spoon)
Leaving about 1/2 inch at the bottom, lay the 8 pieces of cheese into two rolls. This will leave the top 1/3 of the crescent roll dough empty.
Sprinkle the bacon bits onto the cheese.
Situate the turkey slices to cover the cheese, using two layers if needed and overlapping.
From the bottom, roll tightly upward, enclosing the turkey and cheese in the roll up.
Pull the top 1/3 of the dough tightly and the butter will act as glue to hold down the seam.
Cut into 10 equal rounds. Lay the rounds in a non-stick sprayed casserole dish.
Bake for 25 minutes until dough is baked, puffy, and golden browned on top.
Helpful Tips:
Brush oil, egg wash, or additional melted butter on top to help brown and stick toppings if desired.
