Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs pork shoulder or pork butt
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce your favorite brand or homemade
  • 1 small onion sliced
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 Tablespoon brown sugar

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Crock Pot: Lightly spray the slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray or line it with a slow cooker liner for easy cleanup.
  • Layer the Ingredients: Place the sliced onion on the bottom of the Crock Pot. Set the pork shoulder (or pork butt) on top.
  • Add Flavor: Sprinkle the brown sugar over the pork, then pour in the chicken broth and BBQ sauce.
  • Cook Low and Slow: Cover and cook on LOW for 8–10 hours or HIGH for 4–6 hours, until the pork is tender and easily pulls apart with a fork.
  • Shred the Pork: Remove the pork from the Crock Pot and shred it with two forks. Return it to the slow cooker and stir it into the sauce to coat every piece.
  • Serve and Enjoy: Serve warm on toasted buns, over mashed potatoes, or alongside coleslaw for a comforting, flavorful meal.
