Ham and Cranberry Sliders

Great to use with Thanksgiving leftovers or whip up as an appetizer for Super Bowl!
Servings: 12 sliders
Cook Time 15 minutes

Equipment

  • Medium cookie sheet
  • Parchment Paper or foil
  • Microwave Safe Bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 (12 count) package King Hawaiian Original Sweet Rolls
  • 1 cup canned cranberry sauce (or leftover homemade cranberry sauce!)
  • 8-10 slices black forest ham (or leftover ham or turkey from the holiday!)
  • 6 slices pepper jack or swiss cheese
  • 4 ounces (1 stick) salted butter
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1 tablespoon dried dill

Instructions

  • Line a medium cookie sheet with parchment paper (or foil) and preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Remove the Sweet Rolls from the packaging without separating the rolls.
  • Using a serrated knife, slice the slab of Sweet Rolls in half from the side. The result will be two slabs. One slab will have the tops of the Sweet Rolls bunched together. The other slab will have the bottoms of the Sweet Rolls bunched together.
  • Pour the cranberry sauce into a bowl. Stir well to create a smooth sauce.
  • Spread a generous layer of the canned cranberry sauce onto the entire bottom slab of the Sweet Rolls. Save any extras for dipping or adding more later.
  • Add the black forest ham over the cranberry sauce. Overlap each piece, covering the entire bottom slab of the Sweet Rolls. Add more as desired.
  • Add the cheese slices over the ham, covering the entire bottom slab of Sweet Rolls.
  • Add the top slab of Sweet Rolls over the bottom half, covering the cranberry sauce, ham, and cheese.
  • In a medium bowl, melt the butter in the microwave. 40 seconds - 1 minute.
  • Add the parmesan cheese, dried parsley, and dried dill to the melted butter. Stir to combine.
  • Pour or spoon the butter mixture over the top of the Sweet Rolls sliders. Make sure the mixture covers all tops of the Sweet Rolls. The mixture will naturally pour off the sides. For extra flavor, lift up the edges of the Sweet Rolls to allow the mixture to get under the bread as well.
  • Bake the Sweet Roll sliders at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes. The rolls are done when they are slightly more darkened on top and the cheese has melted. Slice individually and serve hot or cold.
