We have been making these for years. We omit the garlic but otherwise it’s exactly the same. People will eat my mashed potatoes who gleefully express how much they hate sour cream or creamed cheese. I let them eat them and start telling me how much they love them, and then tell them what they just ate. (Each of my sisters and my eldest kiddo are all picky eaters unless they don’t know what they’re eating first.)
